Pharao & Azteca

On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May 2017, Velvetyne, a french open-source type foundry organised a workshop placed under the sign  of the ampersand [&] in Paris to create, draw, digitize, classify, sort and free publish the produced glyphs.

Simultaneously, they launched an international call for ampersand submissions. The luxuriant online gallery will soon give birth to a new open-source font.

I submitted a Pharao, a serpentine hieroglyphic sign & Azteca, inspired by Mexican culture.

Samedi 6 et Dimanche 7 mai 2017, Velvetyne une fonderie française open-source, organise un workshop sous le sign de l’esperluette [&] à Paris pour créer, dessiner, digitaliser, trier et publier sous licence gratuite les signes produits.

Simultaément, ils lancent un appel international à contribution. La gallerie en ligne luxuriante fait vite place à un catalogue étoffé d’une nouvelle fonte open-source.

J’ai contribué en envoyant Pharao, un signe serpentin hieroglyphique & Azteca, inspiré de la culture Mexicaine.
